NOVAMOIST was created eight years ago when Dr. Robert M. Carlton, M.D., joined forces with Dr. Tamar Safra, a medical oncologist on the faculty of University of Southern California to develop a natural solution for those who suffer skin problems.
When Dr. Safra was treating Dr. Carlton’s wife for ovarian cancer, the two doctors discussed the problems that cancer patients endured, including skin problems related to the chemotherapy. As a gynecologist, Dr. Carlton had seen innumerable patients suffering from a variety of skin conditions. Always dissatisfied with the products available to women—compounds of female or male hormones, steroids, and petroleum based products—Dr. Carlton had always hoped to find a better, more effective and completely natural solution for his patient’s skin problems.
The doctors extensively reviewed the pathology of many of these skin problems. Dr. Safra, who spent several years in Tibet studying Tibetan Medicine, suggested that blending a combination of natural essential oils would prove effective.
Combining her knowledge of both western and eastern medical traditions, Dr. Safra created a natural solution for skin problems using a synergistic blend of 100% natural essential oils. DR. ROBERT CARLTON, M.D., F.A.C.O.G., is a Board certified specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology, a Member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and
a Member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Dr Carlton, enjoys a successful
50 year practice in Los Angeles, California and is highly respected in the medical community.
He has used NovaMoist clinically for eight years with impressive results and plaudits from many patients and has devoted himself to the application and exploration of complimentary medicine.
DR. TAMAR SAFRA, M.D.is a graduate of the Hebrew University, Hadassah Medical School,
Israel and Bar Ilan University, School of Computer Science, Israel.
Dr. Safra has completed a specialty program in Medical Oncology and Radiotherapy
at the Hadassah Medical School followed by three years as a faculty member of the University of Southern California at the Norris Cancer Center in Los Angeles.
She is presently an attending Oncologist at the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center in charge of the Oncology Gynecology Service treating patients diagnosed with Gynecological and Breast Cancers. Dr. Safra has a unique background in Oriental and Tibetan medicine.
